Basically any operating system which is able to run on a modern x86/64 system should run in ProxmoxVE too. Depending on the usecase and specific os there might be some other considerations, for examples Redhat and Co (Alma/Rocky) demands that the...

hi, for a long time, i'm a little bit annoyed that there is quite a reasonable number (2724) of open , unresolved tickets in proxmox bugzilla at https://bugzilla.proxmox.com i don't want to blame proxmox team here, but my question is , how we...

1st) I would make a "dummy" restore on a other Server. 2nd) and after that, i can use the PVE integrated vzdump backup to store a 100% copy of your VM on a external device.

Depends on where you are looking from. When I start a Backup job on my cluster with five nodes... I get five backups running at the same time = one per node. The PBS handles this fine.

Hi @F4R , welcome to the forum. You need to "qm disk rescan --vmid 100" to bring the disk into VM configuration as "unused0". Then you can remove it from the VM hardware page. Blockbridge : Ultra low latency all-NVME shared storage for Proxmox...

Hi, @mhentrich I remember a similar issue reported in the Forum. Unfortunately I don't remember the outcome and have no time to search for that thread in the moment, but knowing you're not the first reporting it, maybe you'll be able to find it...

If someone is submitting a request via API they might as well use API to query the task status ;-) pvesh get /nodes/$NODE/tasks --output-format json| jq -r '[.[] | select(.type == "clusterjoin")] | sort_by(.endtime) | .[-1] | .status'...

Asterisk is the english word for the star-symbol [ * ]. As far as i know: If you chose "add domain" or "add email" you cannot use any wildcard (asterisk symbol) at all. You can only enter text "as is", character by character. If you chose...

@Charrat , I seem to remember that in similar cases, harmful repositories occurred to be added by these khe-khe-...helper scripts. So just in case, check what is below /etc/apt/

I am not entirely sure what you mean, but here's my setup: I set up two VMs with each one NIC with VLAN ID 11 and one NIC with VLAN ID 22. VLAN IDs 11 and 22 are not used anywhere else in my network and thus should also not be allowed by the...

Apologize if this is a dumb or often asked question, I'm just now experimenting with Proxmox firewalls. I noticed that if I enable a rule on a VM firewall that, say, allows ICMP, I'm able to ping it pretty quickly, but if I disable that rule...
