Hello alexskysilk,
thank you for taking the time to review the post and cross-posting your thread. I did look into it and also attempted to apply the args. However, I was not able to gain any benefit. The situation remains as is.
However, I did...
Having spent the last few days fighting all the subtle parts of getting this working, I put together a quick guide on how to get Proxmox, running on a Strix Halo, machine, with working GPU passthrough into LXC containers. To be clear, this is a...
Well, if the solution is to take it out of the backup schedule, then I must coordinate Vm admin and his needs with backup admin, to turn it on and off as needed.
Thanks for the info.
Just create that scenario, it will probably work. Please report back your experience here :)
What I would do (if I would be forced to use a VM on Windows for this) is to make sure I give it a separate / independent NIC. I want the PVE node to...
I still think that a QDevice is the way to go. Setting up another PVE VM (in Windows) just for the sake of GUI-visibility seems to me completely unnecessary and wasteful. Add to that, the NW element inter-cluster is more complex & generally...
Monitoring should be automatically done in the background from another system so that you have proper monitoring and alerting. This can be automated via pvecm if you want to do this, but don't manually look for stuff.
That should work, too. You...
Probably. As @SteveITS already said: a plain and minimal instance of Debian is sufficient.
Well..., there may be different opinions about this one. Personally I do not like Windows systems to be a required part of my infrastructure.
Two...

and it is true, Proxmox VE does not use libvirt at all, but handles the interaction with kvm/qemu directly.
Hi @mbaltera , welcome to the forum.
There is no configuration option you can change as PVE does not use LIBVERT. The deploy tool should be talking PVE API, not underlying hypervisor (QEMU/KVM).
Cheers

Oh, removing subscription nag. You had (or have) some non official addon, which is known to cause problems, especially during upgrade.
My advice is get rid off that thingy entirely.
P.S. See e.g. these threads...
> Since that VM is production and the admin requires the existing snapshot, what will actually happen if I move it?
Proxmox is a little weird about snapshots and migrating storage. Best advice is to not rely on snapshots for more than about a...
There is no storage level snapshot integration in a Veeam+PVE combination for any storage type.

Hallo,
It's gonna take more disk space / resources, but long-term you're better off cloning the different snapshot levels to separate VMs for the different app versions - rather than relying on a somewhat-fragile** snapshot stack (which also slows down...
Der Scheduler versucht das schon optimal zu machen.
Also neue LUNs für PVE erzeugen und per LVM nutzen.
Also am besten zuerst Treiber installieren mit meinem iso...
