PIf you check the bugtracker, there is a patch available as of today to be code reviewed: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7271#c6 Once reviewed and applied, it will be part of one of the next versions of the pve-container package...

PNasty bug..... you should revert package on repository if possible. Also broken with CIFS mount points.

You are literally speaking about snapshot replication, by zfs or any other FS. So just setup pve-zsync to another machine and it's done. -
