at0rvk replied to the thread Watchdog Reboots.
It seems like there were some issues that got fixed in the last week regarding ha-manager's update loop, which should update the watchdog timer: Bug 7133 - pve-ha-crm: if many HA resources are defined, migration from HA groups to rules may...

This may be useless but thank you for trying. I am also stuck on the passtrough ( wished to try FastFlowLLM ) but was also stuck on what to pass. This will not help but at the moment I am at : root@node02c:~# cat /etc/modprobe.d/vfio.conf...

Hello, Started getting this error on my cluster recently, whats the best way to fix? In addition i get the 'Invalid PVE Ticket' error message and get kicked out of the GUI. Would be nice to get a solution that doesn't require downtime or...

jdancer replied to the thread [SOLVED] Proxmox on Dell P570F.
Seems the Dell P570F is a nothing more than a Dell R740xd. I would get a Dell R740xd to future proof it to make sure it doesn't get vendor locked. Make sure you get the NVME version of the R740xd otherwise you'll get a R740xd with a PERC which...

Reine Vermutungen: Deine VMs haben ja nun eine eigene, private IP Adresse in einem Netz, welches nicht außerhalb des PVE geroutet wird. Korrekt? Dann ist die übliche Lösung: NAT/Masquerading. Für ein "normales" Setup schaust du hier...

Gilou replied to the thread automated install via PXE boot.
Many DHCP servers allow you to specify custom codes (250 here) for a given MAC, without scripting.. you can also cheat and use info from the request in apache or nginx to match a file on the server..

Ultimately, I think it all came down to a cabling issue. Well.. not really a cable, though, but rather the patch panel coupler. After replacing it, there have been no more disconnections for about two days. If it happens to disconnect again...

Well, you can use DHCP to provide a different URL, or DNS as stated in https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Automated_Installation#Answer_Fetched_via_HTTP..

multipath_component_detection = 0 needed to be set to 1 in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf - customer set the parameter, which caused this error. Thank you all for your help, I learned alot about iSCSI. Even created my own iSCSI-Target in a debian-vm to test...

Well, after all those years of mounting images manually, at least I discover libguestfs-tools.. that is something... I don't really like using debian cloud img for a few opinionated choices there.. top of my head.. no LVM / all in one partition...

I'll have to think up another method, I don't want to spin up a python server, just to allow the correct toml download to be distributed. I'll have a think

aaron replied to the thread automated install via PXE boot.
That's what the HTTP server variant is for. One ISO that points to the same server. Then the server gets identifier infos from the host requesting an answer.toml file. How the server then decides which answer file to deliver, is up to the http...

Sounds good. I've moved on to 13th-gen Dells and swapped out the Dell PERCs for Dell HBA330s which is a true HBA/IT-mode controller.

I don't really want to create 10 ISOs for each host was my thinking, I was hoping to create a boot entry for each host, point each entry to a different toml file. Guessing that's not possible then?

https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Automated_Installation Prepare the ISO with the proxmox-auto-install-assistant to the method you want to use. So, for example, set it to HTTP and then point it to your server that provides the answer files. The whole...

I'd say your drive is not in great shape.. check dmesg for info, and try unmounting it / remounting it. But either it was unplugged / badly treated, either it's dying.
