Don't hold your breath for it. Proxmox installer will grab DHCP to begin with, but afterwards a server really needs a static IP. DHCP Reservation in your router might be worth looking into if you want the pve instance to have a certain IP, but...

EI just came across this too. I managed to get DNS to stick inside the LXC, when editing via pve UI. But first I had to setup static IP for all LXC network adapters (I have 2 on each). This I also did in gui. You mention doing this too OP...

About pdm, Disaster recovery is on the roadmap. Evpn central configuration is already available in 1.0. If you need other vpn mesh, they need to be added in pve sdn first

You should look into Proxmox Datacenter Manager for your unified view of multiple clusters. You can tie multiple sites together and at least manually start moving things between clusters. With a bit of setup, you can actually do what you want...
