I noticed that my server was using a lot more space on local than my Dad's server, and I tracked it down to my Frigate LXC, which isn't currently running but is no. 119, which has created over 7GB of files /var/lib/lxc/119. Every other LXC only...
It could be you have some basic network issues with the NIC/cable/switch

Hi, attached the pictures of the "boot loop" and the outputs of the commands.
No errors in the bottom panel... Nor any error messages in the console- just the rebooting.
Sounds like the drive referenced in the VM definition has changed or is somehow unavailable.
Or boot order changed (a restore to a new VM could just put the same settings back in there).
could be more basic than you think
also look for warnings...
Hi community,
i just updated the proxmox VE to latest 9.1.1.
Since then my VM, which includes my homeassistant OS, is not starting anymore.
I got stuck in grub (all slots and rescue shells resulting in crash/restart of VM).

I have now updated this PBS node to 4.1.0. Since my last post (around November 4, about 3 weeks ago) I had GC disabled on this datastore. Today I re-enabled it and started GC manually.
Environment:
- Proxmox Backup Server 4.1.0
- Debian 12

Thanks Fabian. Is there a way to increase the timeout? For our use case it may be fine to accept that we cannot make other VG changes while a snapshot is being removed. The 1TB snapshot lvremove above takes 1m30.654s.
We're pleased to announce the release of Proxmox Backup Server 4.1.
This version is based on Debian 13.2 (“Trixie”), uses Linux kernel 6.17.2-1 as the new stable default, and comes with ZFS 2.3.4 for reliable, enterprise-grade storage and...
As a last resort, I decided to patch /usr/share/perl5/PVE/QemuServer/CPUConfig.pm
And it seems... after some experiments, maybe I can say I've found some workaround, which may help somehow.
But I'm sorry, as it's too late, so briefly...
Hi all,
I have Proxmox 9.1.1 which was fully operational until I made 2 changes at the same time and am unsure why a single VM (out of 9 VM's/CT's) fails to complete the boot process.
The 1st change was hardware replacement, and as it's deep...
With Proxmox(8.4.14) I have a VM with Rocky Linux 9 installed:
I've specified Processors 4(1 socket, 4 cores) [x86-64-v3] [numa=1]
BIOS: OVMF(UEFI)
Machine = q35 viommu=intel(with/without)
When I check inside the VM I only see 1 core:

Just upgraded from 3.4 to 4.1 and used the new Datastore->Options->"Tuning options" to improve verify speed (changed from 1/4 to 16/32 as a quick test).
Great success ;-)

As stated before, you can either upgrade the system running POM to Trixie and it'll be available in the setup, or edit the config manually to something like this:
