I don't know if it is relevant, but after the last 3-4 updates my Proxmox 8.3.5 stops responding on the network when the backup starts.
When I pull and put back the ethernet cable, the connection is restored, only the backup fails.
I have here...
The link helped. Thank you
However, How do I identify badly placed key from apt-key? a cat command brought up the key in the right template?. I have attached samples from apt-key list
I stumbled upon this old thread while trying to solve a very similar situation. The last post gave me an idea to go the other way around.
I have a home lab setup with 2x Proxmox hypervisors and an OpenMediaVault based NAS. The NAS has a qdevice...
Hey I found this issue only occurs if you are under version 8.3 for the Proxmox Nodes on both ends. I found upgrading to > 8.3 this solves this problem.
It seems that when I enter a container using `pct enter` it does not load its environment variables.
I have tried setting environment variables within the container's `.profile` as well as the `/etc/environment/` file, but neither seem to work...
Problem solved. In the BIOS of the Dell Optiplex 7060 AHCI insted of RAID must be selected in order to complete the boot process. To clone the disk just use DD. Exchange the disks and it will boot perfectly. No changes o grub rebuild are needed.
This is a known issue upstream and affects distros with too old versions of shim. For reference: https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/topic/110601533#msg120990
What if you use the pre-enrolled-keys setting for the EFI disk?
What if you downgrade the OVMF firmware package: apt install pve-edk2-firmware=4.2023.08-4 pve-edk2-firmware-ovmf=4.2023.08-4 pve-edk2-firmware-legacy=4.2023.08-4 ?
Trust me, you DO NOT want to clone off ZFS MASTER.
You can do a release level like 2.3.x, but I have seen horror stories of Master users upgrading their pools and then it is NOT COMPATIBLE with the mainstream Release afterwards due to missing...
I have an IO delay problem, I have 2 local datastores with raidZ, 1 VM on datastore 1 with win10, and a VM on datastore 2, when I use the VM on datastore 1 and download files the IO delay increases up to 70%, but at the same time the VM on...
The solution is to remove the drive and wipe it.
I would file this is a bug except that it's so esoteric and only in support of legacy hardware that it wouldn't make sense.
I will, however, document this for posterity.

New to Proxmox I just set up a cluster of two servers with a quorum device, I feel I may have made a mistake my intention was to use replication and HA between the two and as I was installing I came across a few threads to say if you"re going to...
I'm new to Proxmox and Linux in general, so forgive me if some of this isn't using the correct terminology.
I have two NVMe drives. One is 1tb, split into two ~500GB partitions. One of those 500GB partitions was assigned to one of my VMs as...
Would you mind giving that a thumbs up and marking this as solved?

Per https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Renaming_a_PVE_node#Change_Hostname you can edit corosync.conf.
Easier is not to rename. :)
With only 2 nodes if one is offline the cluster is not over 50% so is offline and that triggers reboots. Add a QDevice...
