I have setup proxmox with several VMs running and plex server media virtualized in TrueNas VM. I have an issue with my zpool on Truenas VM with HDD pass through keeps on failing to mount after it running for a week. I have also had a HDD test on my drives and passed the test.
Here is my setup
HP z620 Dual xeon with two zpool ; one running proxmox running on 240gb SSD ; local storage configured in first zpool (three 500gb HDD) and the second zpool (two 4TB HDD mirrored) running on TrueNas VM through virtio SCSI HDD pass-through.
