Hi,

on my PVE host I'm using ZFS.
It seems the Oracle installations inside my guests (on btrfs) go on block corruption due to compression.
At least I didn't experience since one day after switching off the ZFS compression.
Is here anyone who can acknowledge it?
If not, maybe it helps someone who is facing the same issues...

Kind regards
Jo

Hi,

Btrfs over ZFS is not a good ideea(COW over COW). Also note that btrfs is not so safe as you think. Some years ago I was administrate a server with Oracle guest(good and old ext4) on a zfs pool, and it was not a problem during 2-3 years. I would try to run a zfs scrub and see if at the zfs pool it is a problem or not!

Good luck /Bafta!

Why on hell would you want to run that? It's neither supported nor recommended and in fact it is "absolutely not recommended for Oracle RDBMS data files." - please see #2290489.1.
