Hi guys!

We have a LXC on dedicated ZFS pool with many(!) subvols. For now I have created a small script to monitor usage on all subvols and then ocassionally increasing subvols when needed.

I'm wondering if any of you have experience simply setting refquota=none to avoid monitoring all subvols (Then of course I would need to monitor the pool - but I'd do that anyway)

Any pros/cons?

You can do it. The containers will see all available space. Migrating the container disks to other storages might be a bit unexpected / problematic if no size for the disk is configured. If PVE rescans the disks (pct rescan), it will update the configs accordingly and will also have a size of 0, if you remove the refquota.
