Hello all,
Alert emails for ZFS pool degradation seem to work fine at the moment, assuming the degradation occurs while the server is turned on (such as disconnecting a SATA cable while the server is powered on). However, if a drive is unplugged while the server is turned off, and then booted, it will not send an email alert.
Is there any way to have it alert at boot when a zpool is degraded? Even if it alerts at every boot for the same degradation (if, for example, it normally just alerts when it sees the status change), that would be great as well. I could see opening up the panel to do something, closing it and starting the server back up, and not realizing you knocked a SATA cable loose, so I can't imagine why this isn't the default behavior.
Thank you
