WTR Pro CPU throttling

mine definitely requires both PCI devices to be passed through, is yours the 4 bay or 2 bay?
2 bays but the motherboard and BIOS are common so it should work too (AR5000-MI2). You can take a backup of the BIOS chip with a CH341 programmer to be safe, but the chip is located behind the cooler - so you have to basically remove all the screws (and repaste the CPU).

maybe someone on the manufacturer's discord channel could reach out to them and ask whether they can make an official bios for all hardware versions? This seems promising.

I just created a custom BIOS for WTR 5700U/5825U. All PSP components are updated to AGESA 1.0.1.1C and GOP is updated to 2.24.

It does fix the throttling issue for me, actually there is only one PCI device to pass (the second one), and the 2 disks are properly detected. All BIOS parameters are default.

GPU passthrough works perfectly under Windows or Linux without error 43. It needs VBIOS and GOP with added header so I am not sharing it for licensing reasons but I can support in its creation if needed.

PSA For anyone thinking about flashing this custom firmware on a 4-Bay WTR Pro 5825u DON'T DO IT!!!! You will brick your device like I did. Mercifully, I was able to restore my device to working condition by flashing an official Aoostar BIOS file directly to the BIOS chip using a CH341 USB Programmer. At a cost of ~$12 for the CH341 and ~$4.50 for a tube of thermal paste, the price of fixing my device dumb mistake was much easier to swallow than losing the device altogether.

As @vbelot stated in their disclaimer I did this at my own risk, so I don't blame them. Take this as confirmation that this file does not work on a 4-Bay WTR Pro with the Ryzen 7 5825u.
