Workaround for bug 2870?

I'm trying to do a fairly large remote sync from PBS to PBS and seem to be running into this bug. (On the 2 hour mark, 401 unauthorized errors)

Is there any workaround to get my sync up to date? I have the issue with both scheduled and manual syncs.

our workaround is to run the sync hourly. if already running it does not run a 2ND time.
