Hello! I'm new here and I am relatively new to Proxmox.

I've started a VM with Windows XP ISO with SP3. I configured it with RT8139. After installing windows and running through the default wizards, Internet Explorer loaded up google.com with no problems. But when I looked at the URL Bar, I noticed it was http. Nothing with https works. It cannot connect.

When running netstat -n in cmd prompt, it shows anything attempting to connect to :443 as PENDING.

I disabled the Windows Firewall. I double checked to make sure there was no Firewall checked off when adding the RT Network.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hi,

In general, the Windows XP is already EOL.

This is not a Proxmox VE issue. I would install a supported OS instead.

This is not a Proxmox VE issue. But you can try to install e.g. squid as proxy for you winXP ;)

As the other have said XP is way past EOL. Depends which browser you were using but it's unlikely that any such old version of IE will handle the current or later versions of TLS. Try, if it will install, Firefox - it may work, if you can find a version that will install.
