I searched much but didn't find a solution. All linux VMs did shutdown and reboot properly. Has any one an idea? VM was directly created with a vhd-tool from an old real windows installation when I remember it correctly. Proxmox 6.0.4 is running.

Silly thing, it works exactly one time but in all other cases (I got mails) it failed.
XP VM: "Backup of VM 106 failed - command 'qm shutdown 106 --skiplock --keepActive --timeout 600' failed: exit code 255".

Haha, nice joke, my company want's to run an old program exactly on this super old xp machine  OK, I found a work-around, I created a new backup-task exactly for this machine and instead of "mode: stop" I used "mode: suspend".
