Hi,

We keep experiencing random RDP issues where users cannot connect to Windows Server 2008 R2 in a Proxmox VM.

So I went into the console to try and connect directly, and while the IT user worked fine the end user user did this (see picture).

After about 5 minutes I was able to connect again and see the windows login screen, but still could not RDP and only my user worked.

FWIW they are using Jmeter on the other login.

Any ideas?

Well I think I figured it out, not the above weird RDP issue but the overall issue.

I changed:

Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Network List Manager Policies > Unidentified Networks.

Basically telling it to just connect you stupid windows box. ;)

Then I fixed an errant DNS setting.

And RDP / internet access appear to work fine again.

Still no idea what caused the above, and it looks like they were not using Jmeter but were using LISA workstation.

Which no matter what I did on my side, I could not kill. Ended up having to reset the system, then fix it.
