Hi everyone,

White pure screen has been part of my troubleshooting process while trying to resolve an issue with getting Windows VMs to work. I can install and run Linux VMs without any problems, but every time I create a Windows VM and boot into the Windows install ISO, the VM crashes after a few seconds. https://whitescreen.vip/

Using the pure white screen background helped confirm that the issue is not related to display or rendering problems. Despite this, the problem persists and seems to stem from something deeper.

It’s not CPU-related, as I have experienced the same issue with my previous CPU (12900) and motherboard. Virtualization is enabled in the BIOS, and I have tried multiple Windows versions, including Windows 10, 11, Server 2019, and Server 2022, but all result in the same crash.
Anyone face similar issues? any suggestions?

Hi,

Did you see anything in the syslog when the VM got a crash? May also please provide us with a screenshot to see what exactly do you mean with `white screen`?

Could you also tell us where do you see the white screen in the Windows installation or where exactly? Have you tried different browser, or a private/Incognito browser?
