I would like to convert Win Server 2008R2 with VirtIO disk to SATA disk.
If I stop the VM and detach disk and re attach with sata type the VM not boot. Get bluescreen die.
Don't use SATA, better use SCSI for the disks. Also before you detach the disks, use small disk with the new type and install the drivers inside Windows. After that you can try to change the type for the other disks.
