Hi everyone,

I'm desperately trying to install Windows Server 2008 on my Proxmox installation. I verified the ISO file multiple times, installing with a copy of this ISO on real hardware works perfectly. But installing a KVM instance doesn't. The installation stops just before entering the graphical part of the installation. The VM's load is around 15 %, around 100 MB of RAM are being used. But nothing happens. I waited for hours, nothing.

Did anyone experience the same problems? If not, is there anyone who can tell me where I have to look for the cause of this curious behaviour?

Thanks,
Ulf

Works now. Seems like I had to upgrade to Proxmox 1.8. Where 1.7 failed, 1.8 works perfectly.

By the way, I used the exact settings you suggested. Thanks for your answer :).
