Hello,

today get my Windows SBS 2008 Standard licence. I have setup a KVM with the follow parameters

name: SBS2008
ide2: Win2008_SBS_Std.iso,media=cdrom
smp: 4
vlanu: rtl8139=4A:38:A3:20:71:7B
bootdisk: ide0
ide0: vm-107-disk.qcow2
ostype: w2k8
memory: 4000
boot: cad
freeze: 0
cpuunits: 1000
acpi: 1
kvm: 1

The installation runs fine without an issue. After the first reboot, Windows2008 crashed with a blue screen of death with Stop Code 0x0000007B

I have installed Proxmox 1.3 from scratch with all lates patches. The Patch pve-kvm_86-3_amd64.deb is installed, too.

I think this is an driver issue. Anyone else has this problem?

Regards,

Valle

Running in smp mode is not stable at all, let only one processor.
And the best ethernet option is Intel e1000 with intel driver from intel site.(not microsoft drivers)

This is only a suggest

Thanx for your suggest. e1000 i have installed now.

Only one processor makes the VM slower, right?

I want use it for terminal server services.

i had multiple issues in Windows Clock with SMP, please check that, and if it´s all ok, then enjoy the smp

Now, i have done all updates incl. Service Pack 2 for Windows 2008 SBS. After a reboot the Server crashes with bluescreen. Switched Guest Type from "Windows Vista" back to "Windows 2008" an all runs fine.
