Hi all, Hoping for some help. I am new to Proxmox, and I have a test setup with Proxmox 9.03 installed as a VM on ESXi 7. I have a Windows 2012R2 ESX vm that I have prepared by removing VMTools and installing the VirtIO Drivers 0.1.215 (also tried 0.1.189). I have tried several methods to import the VM into Proxmox using Veeam to restore the VM, the import option within Proxmox, and export/import OVF. All of these result in an unbootable Windows 2012R2 VM that locks/freezes during Windows repair. I have tried changing the drive to SATA and IDE, but the result is the same. If I set the drive to SCSI, it will actually boot into repair mode, but adding drivers from the command prompt hasn't worked. I also tried booting from the ISO and went through as if I was installing a new OS, and when it gets to the point where you pick the drive to install on and point the installer at the scsi .inf, the VM freezes while loading the driver.
I created a new 2012R2 VM and was able to install an OS on the VM. Just to know if there were problems with that.
So I have been racking my brain over this for days. I don't know if the problem is because I have a nesting Prox install or what. I have successfully imported a 2008 (non-R2) without issues (Changed drive to SATA). But this 2012R2 is kicking my butt. Seems like some sort of virtual HW maybe, but I have tried different machine types (q35, v7.0, 8.1) and CPUs, all the same result, or won't power on at all.
VM Config:
root@prox:~# qm config 103

Thanks for any help!
