I've a Proxmox 1.7 server that host many Windows 2003 guests, some of them automatically restart just after windows loaded, this mean the guest is always restarting it self and loading and restarting after that ( a restart every 2 min )
The server is utilized 40% of it's memory and has a lot of free memory.
Do you think it's an issue with KVM or Proxmox?

Regards

did you install these win2003 guests on Proxmox VE or did you migrate them? any difference between the working ones and not-working guests?

Looks like you configured windows to reboot automatically in case of BSOD.

I've build these guest from a raw file that I've build on other server, ( I always do it in this way )

I'm not familiar with BSOD, I've just installed windows 2003 regularly.

thanks.

I do not get how you installed it, can you give more details? and again: any difference between the working and not-working ones?

Thanks for your attention
I've installed windows 2003 on a guest and then transfer it's raw file to other server , every windows guest that I want to build is a copy of that raw file,
No there's no different between working and not working ones.

did you run sysprep or similar before you do the copy?

I cannot say that this is the reason for the restarts but it for sure a not recommended way to deploy multiple windows boxes and you will have issues due to this way.

So in any case, I suggest you make yourself familiar with sysprep (just search the web for howto´s).
