Windows 11 won’t Boot after changing to q35

Hi,

I want to use GPU Passthrough with my Windows VM. For PCIe I need machine type q35. But when I change it, the machine doesn’t boot up. It says „inaccessible boot device“.

Do you have a solution for that? Is that a secure boot issue?

Did you create that VM with SeaBIOS? BIOS and UEFI do booting differently and an OS install with BIOS won'T start with UEFI unless CSM is enabled.
