I have a Windows 11 (21H2) VM running fine for several months now on Proxmox VE 7.2-7.
Proxmox is running on a server with a CPU which is not "compatible" with Windows 11 (Xeon E5-1650v3).

Up to now I was using default CPU type "kvm64" for this VM but the upgrade to Windows 11 - 22H2 was never listed in the updates.
Therefore I set CPU type to "qemu64" - and the next day the update was displayed and installed successfully.

Now I'm asking if this is the proper way to get the Windows 11 update ? Should I keep CPU type at "qemu64" or switch back to "kvm64" or "host" after the update ?
Is there any information about the pros and cons between "kvm64" and "qemu64" ?

Thank you.

Hello, issues for users that are hosting Windows 11 VMs on a Promox server that is using not compatible kernel. Then "Host" cpu feature not operational to keep able to upgrade Windows 11 21H2 to 22H2? Any solution ?
