Windows 11 Virtual Machine very slow performance

I may have come across what you're probably after in my own feverish research, and couldn't help but make an account to link it ^^ @AllanM

Just to add my experience with this issue for those who have tried everything and still have sluggish Windows 11 VM performance. The "magic" setting for me was the vIOMMU option in Machine settings. Setting it to Intel in my case made a world of difference!

Running PVE 8.2.7 with a Win 11 VM. The host is a Minisforum MS-01 (cluster) and I'm using the DKMS Kernel so I can pass-through the Intel iGPU. Things worked, but even basic operations in Windows took forever. The exact same config running Win 10 ran great, but 11 ran terrible. Trying all the recommendations in this forum and elsewhere either had no noticeable impact or would break the pass-through. I suspected it was related to the nested virtualization issue, but couldn't find a fix. Then I read that vIOMMU is supposed to allow passing PCIe devices through to level-2 VM's (nested virtualization!). Viola! Perhaps it will only help in very specific use cases like mine, but hopefully others will benefit.
