As the tittle says, my VM (Windows 11) only get slow and laggy when im downloading things, for example, from Chrome, CMD (pip), etc.

Code:
root@proxmox:~# qm config 303
acpi: 1
bios: ovmf
boot: order=sata0;net0
cores: 8
cpu: host
efidisk0: NVME-M2:303/vm-303-disk-0.qcow2,efitype=4m,pre-enrolled-keys=1,size=528K
hostpci0: 0000:24:00,pcie=1,x-vga=1
machine: pc-q35-6.1
memory: 12288
meta: creation-qemu=6.1.1,ctime=1648077194
name: Windows11
net0: rtl8139=BC:24:11:1A:DB:AD,bridge=vmbr0,firewall=1
numa: 0
ostype: win11
sata0: NVME-M2:303/vm-303-disk-1.qcow2,aio=threads,size=150G,ssd=1
scsihw: virtio-scsi-pci
smbios1: uuid=9331a95d-96c9-4ce5-a09f-3fe14658b444
sockets: 1
tpmstate0: NVME-M2:303/vm-303-disk-2.raw,size=4M,version=v2.0
vga: std
vmgenid: e6ca8858-be8d-473e-b78c-86c5ba9ab2e6
root@proxmox:~#

The vga:std is not a problem, im connecting to VM with RDP locally. And as you can see, the hostpci0 is a graphic card: RTX 3060

Can someone tell me if something is missing with my configuration of the VM? I have read some other "laggy or slow VM" posts and i thought is right, but nope...

Thanks in advance

you will not lose data, but you may have to install the VirtIO if not installed in your Windows VM. to do that just detach the disk and re-attach it as SCSI.

I would make a backup before doing that!

i was just looking for that here https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/c...r-existing-windows-machine.103560/post-445828 is as simple as you said here... sorry for not search in the forum before.

After doing that i had to select the boot order and activate the SCSI disk, before that step, Windows wasnt able to boot. I had encountered that the NIC card i had configured wasnt using the full speed of the network (to test the performance i had mentioned), after that, i changed the NIC to E1000 and now is working fine and the performance is nice now.

Thanks for the help!!
