Hey all,
I am new to Proxmox and am trying to get together a Windows system with GPU passthrough, but I am not even getting that far. Can anyone help? I can create and install a Windows 10 VM just fine, but once I restart the virtual machine it simply sits there and does not boot, giving me this screen:
There is very little information out there on this BdsDxe thing, though obviously I know it has to do with EFI. It does not say that it can't find a file or anything - it just sits there eternally. I tried using a Windows ISO to fix the bootloader, and while that made this go away, instead it just gave me a blank screen and did not do anything. I have tried about a million different combinations to try to get this working, but nothing seems to help. I'd really like to get Proxmox going so I could really use some help, especially if someone out there understands UEFI (I miss the good old days of AMI and Phoenix BIOSes - yes, I am that old). Some system info:
Proxmox VE 5.4-3
Motherboard is a Supermicro X8DTI-F running two Xeon X5650s (Tylersburg chipset, I believe)
24 GB ECC RAM
The virtual machine is being installed with Windows 10. I have tried IDE, SCSI, and SATA vhds and all are giving me have the same problem. I have installed the proper virtio scsi drivers when needed, as well as ballooning, network, etc.
I do have NUMA on and my system is IOMMU capable and recognized. It also runs great on just straight Ubuntu as opposed to Proxmox, though Proxmox itself seems to run great too. I have not tried to run any linux VMs on it yet but maybe I will do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
