[SOLVED] Win10, MS Edge and Spice

Hi,
after having used Spice succesfully to connect to my virtual machines for a few month from an Ubuntu client machine using Chrome, I have recently installed Windows10 and am trying to use Spice via Microsoft Edge browser, but no sucess. The vv-file is downloaded and the message 'Connecting to Graphics Server' appears for a second or two and then the window just closes down without error message. I have installed the Spice guest tools on the machine. Any hint on what might be wrong / what I can check to find out what the issue is?

Do you have SPICE client (such as virt-viewer) installed in your client machine?

I had and still have virt-viewer installed on my virtual machines I am trying to connect to - assume this is what you meant? On the remote machine I have Win10 (incl. Edge) and the Spice guest tools installed.

everything looks good, it's works on my workstation VM Windows 10 the latest version of Edge is: Version 86.0.622.63 (Official build) (64-bit).
What is version of Virt-Viewer on Windows VM?

Hi,

on the remote desktop running Ubuntu I have virt-viewer 7.0 installed;
on the remote desktop running Win10 I have QEMU guest agent 7.4.5 and SPICE Guest Tools 0.141 installed;

the Win7 VM running under proxmox I am accessing has QEMU guest agent 7.4.5 and SPICE Guest Tools 0.141 installed;
the Debian VM running under proxmox I am accessing has no virt-viewer installation.

As mentioned from my remote desktop Ubuntu machine I can use Spice to connect to both the Win7 and the Debian VM fine.
From my Win10 desktop I am seeing the vv-file download and the start screen screen saying 'Verbindung mit dem Grafikserver' but then no connection is established, neither to the Debian VM, nor to the Win7 VM. NoVNC works for both.

Please try to install latest version of Virt-viewer [9.0-256] and try again

SOLVED - After installing version 9.0-256 on the remote win10 client Spice works fine.
