Win 10 Win10_20H2_German_x64.iso installation, problem with harddisk

Hi,

I'm pretty sure that I followed https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Windows_10_guest_best_practices to the point, virtio iso is latest version virtio-win-0.1.185.iso.

But whatever I try, I receice this error msg. It say "Windows can't be installed on this device. Hardware may possobly not support booting from this device. Please ensure that the controller for this device is activated in the BIOS settings.

Any hints?

Check your boot order, first must be scsi and second cdrom, looks like you got cdrom as first boot device.?

Known issue and already fixed in upcoming versions.
 
Hi Tom,

thanks for replying. No, CD was second. But boots order shows virtio0 as disk and when trying to edit scsi1 is shown.

When abondening Windows setup and going into "BIOS" only the 2 CDs and Network install are shown.

Strange. I will try to start from scratch and see what happens.
