Will restore from backup be in GUI v1.4

Whilst the GUI in v1.3 allows us to make a backup one or more VE KVM and Containers, we have hitherto been able to restore them using vzdump in CLI mode only.

Will the expected 1.4 beta have the restore functionality built into the GUI?
 
@ Apmuthu : I would love to see a Restore option in the GUI, too! And I'm sure there are more people out there, right?

@ Dietmar : I am just an end-user, not a developer. I noticed there is a page in the Wiki on how to restore a backup but it requires you to SSH to the server. I don't even have an SSH program. My point is: for us end-users a Restore is important, too. When a VM or a node goes down, it usually goes down after office hours or on a Sunday and I can't reach my server admin. I could probably restore it myself if there were a Restore functionality in the GUI. But when I have to SSH, it's out of my league. Regarding the user-management there are always people who won't need that. Personally I just manage my own servers.
 
I agree that this would be a nice option. this is an open source project so you have two possibilities to speed up feature development.

  • contribute the code, join the dev team
  • pay someone else to do it, e.g. us
if these are no options, you need to wait til we have time to implement it, after 2.x.
