Dear,

I am new to proxmox and have a question before I begin. I want to use this pc, to install proxmox. Before I begin I want to know if proxmox will override my existing windows licence key on the uief chip?

That's good news, but I'm not sure if my main board supports that...
...supports what? Your SLIC is filled by your OEM and IMHO cannot be changed. If you installed your Windows manually and activated it yourself, then the license key is written on the disk, not in the hardware.

I want to install proxmox in on a new drive and install proxmox without OS (type I), but if I want to access somthing form the previous windows installation I was planning to swap the drives with the windows on it, if I forgot something to backup.

Yes, that's no problem.

... and install proxmox without OS (type I) ...
Proxmox VE is name of the hypervisor including the OS. I never understood the differentiation type I vs. type II, because e.g. Proxmox VE and KVM are based on Linux and Linux IS the operating system and KVM is part of it. Therefore "without an operating system" is a dumb differentiation and only true if you know only Windows, where the OS is often seen as the graphical user interface, which other products often don't have and don't need (okay, Windows does not need it anymore with the core variant ...)
