Will additional software invalidate support?

Let's assume that a system is installed by ISO and a support contract is in place. If the onwer wants to install extra software on the HW node such as munin, logwatch, webmin, ntop will this OK?
Is this still perceived as a supported node or not because it deviates from the standard software?

basically, you can install what you want. if you do a commercial support contract and you run into issues due to third party software our support will probably tell you to remove these packages. but dependes, case by case.
