Will a HP Z420 Pro be able to do 2 GPU passthroughs ?

Anyone know if these workstations would work with passing thru 2 GPU's ? (as far as I know it seem to have two 16x PCI-e slots, but unsure if this is something that comes up in different iommu groups ?) - CPU is XEON E5-1620V2@3.6 I think they support SLI setup - if that can indicate anything.

Any tips on other suitable hardware to look out for when it comes to GPU passthrouh would also be appreciated

I'm sorry but I don't know. I can't find any information about VT-d or PCIe lanes layout for the motherboard of that HP. Your CPU does support VT-d.

If you already own the system, you can put any two PCIe cards (don't have to be x16) and check the IOMMU groups. If the two devices are in isolated groups then passthrough of two GPUs in those two slots will probably work (if the GPUs support it).
