Hello i recently discovered proxmox and decided to switch to it and i saw that it was based on debian so install debian wifi drivers for my tp link wifi dongle ( which worked in the past and still work on debian ) but when i try to install them i get that i need to install smth about headers but when i try to do that it says that the packagage wasnt able to be located and i am not sure what to do at this point

First, you shouldn't use wifi. It's slow, unreliable, causes problems (like your VMs won't be able to access the internet without some workarounds) and not officially supported. Use a ethernet cable to your router/switch and if that isn't possible consider buying a powerline adapter. See here for more info: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/WLAN

For the headers you probably want to install this package when using PVE 8.1: apt update && apt install proxmox-default-headers
For older PVEs the "pve-headers" package.

i mean if i had the option to use ethernet i would but i cant connecting an ethernet cable would mean i need to drill into the walls because the router is super far away also powerline was an option but here its kinda expensive around 50 euros for a set

Thats what I did.
A homelab isn't convenient. If it is, you did something wrong ;)

Always depends. For a reliable homeserver you need more stuff in addition to the server itself. UPS, proper network infrastructure and so on. I don't know what you paid for your homeserver, but in case it would be something like 200-500€ for some low- to mid-range MiniPC it would be a waste to spend that much on a PC that will then be unreliable because you don't want to spend another 50€ to connect it properly.

i higly doubt you situation is worse than mine i am in a building which has two houses and both houses have only one internet conenction which they share only problem is that the router is on the other house so i cant have ethernet i mean wifi was never my first option i was forced into it

i mean its not really any profesional i just got an old pc i had bought new ram and installed debian on it and thats what i was using for it but i discovered proxmox and it a better thing to have there for stuff that is windows only and discovered wifi isnt a option i mean i was thinking is there an adaptor that can take my wifi dongle use it and output it singnal thru ethernet so it would kinda trick proxmox i mean it is unriable but i have no other choice if i want to use proxmox atleast
