In the network tab, my wifi card is marked unknown and can't be used or bridged. It is an Intel a7260. Running ip a the card is not listed, but when running lspci | grep -i it shows up. This makes me think the drivers are not installed. Is this assumption correct? If so, how do I add them?

PVE doesn't support Wifi and even if it would you couldn't bridge it because the AP probably would drop your packets. See here:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/WLAN

Wifi should only be used if ethernet cables, moving the server closer to the router or powerline adapters aren't an option. If you still want to use wifi you will have to turn your PVE server into a router and NAT between your wifi interface and the bridge.

yes this is what a want and tried finding multiple guides on it. none seemed to work. eventually i gave up and tried installing openwrt and tried to pci passtorugh the nic but that did not work. this is my 3rd post trying to solve this problem. I have been trying for a while and have had no luck. i want this pc to connect over wifi and then create its own lan that connects to a switch. please give me clear instructions
