I use NFS storage for a couple of VMs so that I can easily migrate the VM to another host. This works really well.
In some cases, i need to take the NFS server offline, like installing updates. When this happens I need to migrate the disks back to local storage temporarily. I have a VM that has an EFI boot disk that will not allow live migration: "storage migration failed: block job (mirror) error: drive-efidisk0: Source and target image have different sizes (io-status: ok)"
The workaround is to shutdown the VM which is not ideal. As far as I can research this appears to be either a bug, limitation, or known issue. Any idea if this will be addressed in the future or if there are any viable workarounds that don't require shutting down the VM?
Appears to be this? https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3227
