Hello,

i wondered why there was a key added to my /root/.ssh/authorized_keys, and commented it out.
After reboot the key was there again, in a new line.

So i thought "wtf is going on" and thought of an trojan or s.th.

Then i got it: proxmox added this key. But why?
Im am a littlebit paranoid so i commened it out again and made the file immutable with
chattr +i authorized_keys

Everything is working fine at the moment i think.

So ist the ssh key necessary?

Would be nice to have an answer.

thx for your reply dietmar.
so when i doenst use a cluster i do not need it?
but why proxmox adds the key anyhow?
