Which NAS to use together with PVE

I am looking for a NAS-OS which should work closely together with PVE

At the moment, I am using XigmaNAS, but I am not convinced that the FreeBSD-based concept is best.
So, i am considering:
- TrueNAS scale (which is linux-based?)
- Open media vault?

I wnat to use it is addtional storage for my PVE, but also for backup. It should also give me good iSCSI capabilities.
