Where to put the system ? Can the disks where the special device is be used for it?

I am actually trying to setup a backup server on a DL-380. Im'm wodndering what would be thedisk right layout when having 6x4TB (SATA DD) and 2x460GB SSD Sata Mixed-Use. I'm thinking to setup the 6x4TB as a RAID 1+0 .

Should I install the system on them and use the SSD to build a special device. Using the whole SSD for the special device seems a lot. Can I partition them and use another for another purpose? Maybe also put the system on it? It seems the write/read pattern may be different though.

Any hint is welcome

You can use partitions for vdevs. So yes, by CLI you can manually partition the SSDs and share the same disk for OS and special device.
PVE got "Advanced ZFS configuration Options" when installing PVE where you can tell the installer to leave some disk space unpartitioned so it can be manually partitioned later. Maybe the PBS installer got these options too.

PBS looks to have the same installer options so I guess it's feasible. Is there any interrest though to have the system on a different storage or mixed it with the special device write/read patterns?
