My mainboard have sata, sas and usb 3.0 (on mainboard) ports for drives connection. I just ordered 2 the same 120gb ssd drives to create ZFS RAID1. Where I should install sytem and keep virtual systems? Can everything be stored on these drives, or do it somehow differently, f.ex Proxmox on 16gb usb drive and virtual systems on sdds, or maybe some other way?

Proxmox VE ist based on Debian, a regular Linux distribution. Therefore it is best installed as a regular OS. So in your case if the two SSDs are all the disk you have you can install it there. You can select a ZFS Raid1 and the disks to use in the installer.

Using a USB stick for the OS is actually a bad idea because it is not meant to be installed on such a slow device. It will write the logs to the disk it is installed on for example. This means that quite a bit of writing is happening all the time. A USB stick is usually too slow for that and probably wouldn't even last that long with the constant writing.

Thanks. Can I keep virtual systems on the same partition as Proxmox or I need to buy another disks to keep them on separate volume?

You can use the same disks. If you choose ZFS during installation the VM disks will be ZVOLs, A ZFS dataset that does not show up as file system but is a block device that the VM can then use as disk.
