When i'm create a VM , if i m alocate 4 TB space , VM take 4 TB space from main node , how fixed this?

Hello dear ProxMox community , i'm have strange problem , recently i'm create a new storage node

21 HDD 4Kn with HBO Mode and ZFS partition on RaidZ1 ,

When I'm make a VM and add any disk size in my VM, main node instantly takes all that space, how can I disable this thing?


VM it's shutdown and take all space (check my screenshots) , no any difference if I m start VM etc...


All help it's very appreciate , thanks for you time

Check the sparse checkbox on the ZFS storage: [1].

Additional info: Search the forum for: "padding overhead" with your raidZ, if you not already know it, to prevent possible surprises in the future...
