Anyone know about any update? Would be nice to be able to install it and not have to compile

Considering that Crimson is still lacking some important features(PG merging, RGW support ...). I would say U release might have it. Maybe it will be still early to use it in production. I guess V release might be a safe guess.

A good question is, when Proxmox team will start working getting Tentacle into PVE 9 ?

yes crimson seems to a few years left.
