What technologies of programming are used in Proxmox 2.x ?

Colleagues:
I want to know what technologies a programmer (or some of them) should exactly know to collaborate with Proxmox VE?
For example:

- ExtJS 4
- Perl / ( Framework ?)
- ? ? ?

backend:
- Perl (no framework)

- Some qemu knowledge can help too if you want to implement new qemu features
