What specs do I need for a new proxmox server?

Good night everyone,

We're working with proxmox for 8 years already and it went pretty well till few months ago when it seems we have a bottleneck.

The proxmox is running a Windows Server 2012 and 8 VM with W10. The current machine is a 16 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v4 @ 2.10GHz (1 Socket) with 128GB RAM.

I have all the W10 VM using 3CPU and 14GB RAM each while the WS2012 is using 8 CPU and 28GB RAM. Tried to work with that setup but it's obviously not enough because almost all users work at the same time so the CPU usage is always so high.

What are your recommendations for the new machine we're looking to install this summer? Is it recommended that I do fresh install to every machine so we migrate to new OS?

Thank you in advance,
Neo.

Seems like the issue is RAM.

I have a bunch of 12th and 13th-gen Dells using E5 CPUs. They have between 256GB and 512GB RAM. No issues.

I do recommend a clean install. Backup first though.
