What is your favorite method to get desktop access to your linux VM (x11 or wayland)

I used to use VNC, but it's not working well with VMs for some reason. I start plasma x11 in xvfb virtual screen, and then after the splash screen, I get a black screen.

I'm having similar issues with RustDesk. I connect to a new screen, and get a black screen.

What's your favorite way to solve this problem?

SPICE (qxl) works well for me, including copy&paste, after installing spice-vdagent on Linux.

May I say that after using the

VirtIO-GPU

display, things have improved significantly and tools I used before worked again.
