[SOLVED] What is the best backup Storage

Hi everybody, I have a spare server that I would like to add in my cluster to use as a backup storage and to send replicated VM.
What kind of sharing protocl would suit the best for that purpose, smb, cifs, etc... ?

I am also curious to know how you manage backups with proxmox since it doesn't handle incremental/diferential (which would be great by the way).
I tried bacula & bareos but I find them to complex to configure.

Any suggestions ?

Search the forums, there has been plenty of discussion about this.

We're using a ZFS based backup server that stores only differences of VMs to save space and export its filesystem as NFS to Proxmox VE for backups.
