what is the "Add Storage” checkbox" in the disks menu

I am trying to figure out what does the "Add Storage” checkbox" exactly do? what happens if I check it and what happens if I donot ?
I can see it available in each and every storage.

It add a storage configuration for the disk. Else you need to add that manually.

I see you mean in the storage.cfg and it makes total sense since debian has no idea what the storage.cfg is and how important it is for proxmox.

One final question though.
If I am to replicate zfs pools between the cluster nodes and turn that flag on all the nodes "add storage" it will not work. However, if I create the zfs pools on the first node along the check box while on the other two nodes I just create the zfs-pools WITHOUT the checkbox they work. I am still trying to figure why is that happening

You probably also checked the "shared" box. That way the storage definition becomes available on all hosts. You just can't add a second storage with the same name, which probably results in the error.
