What happens when I delete a VM snapshot?

Hi,
deleting large qcow2 snapshots over NFS can take a long time unfortunately and there currently is no way to do it asynchronously, so the VM will be blocked while the operation is in progress. If you are facing such issues, it's better to remove snapshots while the VM is shut down.

OK understand. Even a 40Gbit Metronet will not solve it ;-) Do you think it would be better on the ceph storage. We have both.

I haven't heard about similar issues with Ceph at least :)
