WebAuthn deactivating TOTP/recovery codes?

Hello.

I just configured today on my work laptop WebAuthn through my phone (i saved the passkey in my self hosted bitwarden extension) and i was pretty delighted for how easy-to-use it was (also i heard is way safer than TOTP). I just got home and tried to login from my PC and i just can't. For WebAuthn as an explanation i think:
- My daughter pressed the power button and shutdown the node hosting the bitwarden, on my work laptop i saved the passkey to bitwarden directly on the saved credentials for proxmox web interface. The question here would be: do i need to save a webauthn passkey for every device which i want to have acces to proxmox web interface (phone, pc, work laptop)? Initially i thought one device is enough to prove my identity.

The second question would be: i have also configured on proxmox TOTP and recovery keys. I tried both, neither of them working, why? I configured them as back-up for cases exactly like this.

Update: yes, it was the node who was down temporarily. Now that it is back online, i saved the passkey on this device too. But the question above remains. I don't understand why TOTP and recovery keys couldn't get me logged on when one of the nodes was still online.

Thank you!
