I had a power outage and when my Proxmox server came back online, I was no longer able to access the web GUI. I also noticed that Pfsense is no longer reporting a DHCP static lease at my static IP, 10.76.76.10.

Output from ip a

Output from /etc/network/interfaces
IMG_1826 Large.jpeg

What is also strange to me, is that I can traceroute 8.8.8.8 and get a valid output. So the server is connected to the network.

Then perhaps you have a bad switch, if Proxmox can access outside via your router (?) and your client can access outside via your router (?), but they cant talk to each other, and you didnt enforce some exoteric firewall rules on PVE, then the issue is likely the switch. The other option is duplicate IP, but I would expect at least some ICMP to work.
Experiment with cables and port changes, try to connect two workstation directly - do you gain connectivity?

Maybe the power outage just corrupted some system files or the config.db so PVE services won't start anymore and therefore no webUI?

Check systemctl status pve*

he said he cant ping or ssh into it, but appears to be able to login to physical console. Probably larger issues than PVE corruption if its corruption. But I suspect network infrastructure.

What about a very long uptime so very old kernel that was still in use and the way newer kernel that is now used after the reboot isn't working well with the NIC (like the RTL8169 that isn't working with the drivers shipped with 6.2 but was working fine with 5.15 so many people these days have problems with)?

I was able to figure it out based on the comments about my network. It turns out the power outage messed up my Pfsense machine. Upon rebooting that server, everything is now working. Thank you for your help.
